Huzzah!

I had been worried about not getting a graduate job or anything what with the recession and what not. I have spent the better part of 10 years working, ever since my first job at 13. I think the biggest gaps in my employment history in the 10 years was 2 months (I quit my job cos they weren't giving me time off). I have literally went from job to job.

So well the past 4 months jobless have been quite enjoyable but rather disconcerting. I think the problem with having chronic insomnia added to what i can only assume is a poor man's version of ADD (sitting doing nothing never really had much appeal for me). The highlight being when i was reading a book, while listening to an audiobook which meshed VS Naipaul with Dan Brown. Surreal stuff.

So a while back i was offered a Junior Researcher at the University of Seoul. My uni is partnered with them for a number of our final year projects (mine included) and their representative talked to me a while back asking if i'd like to take up a reaserchers job over there. Specifically to build on my mobile phone health sensors into some sort of viable product. Normally i'd jump at a chance like that, but its like so far away

I'd love that job, fiddling with electronics trying to make the world a better place by automatically linking health sensors to the emergency services trying to make it more sleek than what i've done so far which is a bunch of sensors linked by wires to a huge mobile phone that needs charging all the time because the battery wasn't designed to do what i've programmed them to do.

We have the original Job offer from the Royal Bank of Scotland but i've resigned myself i'd rather rejoin the Army than rejoin RBS and dear god I never want to have to look at myself in that army uniform ever again so i think RBS is out the picture which means i'm going to have to hunt harder for a decent Research and Development job.

Don't really want to move again in the near future I like my new place, Having no flatmates or family about is a first for me and i'm quite enjoying the ability to only have to clean up after myself. Woo

Back to the job hunt
